Q: How long do the surfaces last? A: Depends upon the usage, what the surface is used for and installation. Choose the right surface for your needs. Generally all surfaces will last a minimum of 5 years with correct maintenance, and premium surfaces lasting as long as 20 years.
Q: Does the Colour fade? A: No - All surfaces are UV Stabilised which means they will not be affected by sunlight
Q: Can the surface rot? A: No - All the surfaces are made from tough polypropylene, polyethylene or nylon fibres which will not collapse with correct usage.
Q: Why do most surfaces need sand infill? A: Clean, dry, graded sand is filtered deep into the fibres so as to give the surface greater stability (preventing creases). The sand also assists with drainage, helping to create a smoother surface (putting greens) and in some cases aiding traction. It also prevents fire from creating excessive damage.
Q: Can surfaces be loose laid A: yes some surfaces can be. but generally you will need to hold down the surface either by gluing, screwing Or in some cases holding down with weights
Q: Can I carry out installation myself? A: Yes for Verde surfaces no for other surfaces- we will provide you with installation details and likely cost. We do not use a third party to carry out installation, so installations are either carried out by us or you.
Q: What Maintenance is required? A: Surfaces need to be kept clean and free form debris. Regular brushing will keep your surface in tip top condition. Every year or so the surface may require thourgh cleaning. If over time the surface has moss, algae or slime formation then the power brushing will be required. This involves the use of a motorised broom to remove the sand infill and debris. Clean graded sand is then used to replace the old sand.
Q: Do the surfaces drain water quickly? A: Yes, the surfaces have drainage holes at regular intervals. On some surfaces water can drain through where the grass has been stitched into the backing
Q: Does fire, heat affect the surface. A: Direct flame depending on the ferocity will melt the surface. sand, rubber infill can help prevent fire from creating damage to the entire surface. Ciggarette butts will scorch the surface though will not cause significant damage.
Q: Can you supply small or large quantities? A: Yes and no. We can supply a minimum of 2m2 - 2x1m. If however you would like say 5 x 1m2 pieces we would ask you buy 2x3m and cut it yourself. We can supply larger quantities please call with your specific requirements.
Q: Do you supply a guarantee A: Yes we supply a minimum of two years on all surfaces and up to 5 on some surfaces
